I made a cozy for a 10 oz teapot/cup set.

I used an “I” hook throughout and Caron Simply Soft Yarn in Country Blue, Bone, and Pistachio. They were all left over from other projects. I love when that happens.

I was trying to come up with a pattern but it wasn’t working out. I ended up using the 3-6 month baby hat pattern at http://crafterchick.com/easy-peasy-baby-infant-sized-3-6-months-double-crochet-beanie-hat-pattern/.
When I got to to the spout, I chained 12 and skipped 6 stitches and continued on. For the handles, I chained 8 and skipped 4 and continued on.
At the bottom, I did two rows of single crochet in the back loops only.

For the flowers, I based it on the pattern at:http://www.freecraftunlimited.com/crochet-roses.html. I didn’t completely understand the directions so I improvised a bit.

The leaves are based on http://mamachee.com/2010/05/14/crochet-pattern/. Again I didn’t completely follow the instructions.

Finally, I sewed on the flowers and leaves. Positioning the flowers and leaves is a little tricky but I think it worked out.
