I often find myself with a hot coffee and no sleeve. Well, it doesn’t happen that often but often enough that I thought -I need to crochet something.
I used worsted weight yarn and an “I” hook.
Hdc one row
Slip stitch into first stitch to form a ring.
Hdc until desired length.
Use tail to whipstich the first row closed.
For the octopus legs, I used the pattern at: http://blog.twinkiechan.com/2013/08/23/free-pattern-grumpy-octopus-coffee-cup-cozy/.
The legs are done in the last row.
The fins: chained 7 and then decreased as I changed color.
Beak: I used the pattern from my chick last Easter.
